Africa is the second largest continent in the world and the most blessed by nature. It is inhabited by most beautiful people on earth who for centuries have been dehumanized by people of low conscience. It is often nicknamed the ‘’Mother Continent’’ due to being the oldest inhabited continent on earth. It is bounded by the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean with an amazing flora and fauna. It is divided in half almost equally by the Equator. Africa is a large and vast continent where different cultures coexist. African sunsets and sunrises are known to be some of the most beautiful in the world, thanks to its diverse landscapes, which consist of jungles, deserts, tropical beaches and open savannahs.
It is in no doubt that the continent is blessed with a large quantity of natural resources, including diamond, gold, petroleum, cobalt, uranium, copper, bauxite, iron, silver, salt, cocoa beans etc., making the continent the largest source of industrial raw materials in the world.
On human resources, the continent is not found wanton, as the intellectual and physical impact of the black man is felt in all productive sectors of the global economy not given the mounting odds against them.
It is also not in doubt the continent had paid her dues for these blessings. The harrowing eras of slavery and colonialism stand out as a tell-tale evidence of the looting of these resources and still unabated. The continent is crying on her people to restore her pride before other continents on earth. Please let join hands and address the cry of Africa
